Mobile Java Developer

Want to help craft elegant, game-changing, cloud-based enterprise software?

We are looking for someone with experience to join our Mobile UI development group as a growing Intermediate Java Developer, who wants to join a multi-faceted team and build their skills. In this position you will be a key member of the group working on our mobile web app. Our inspired team was designated one of the top three digital design teams in Canada and is pushing the boundaries of cloud-based enterprise software.

Duties:

  • Plan and execute development of new software-based services and features, including documentation and testing.
  • Undertake performance benchmarking, trouble-shooting and bug fixing, as required
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution, innovation and prioritization of product features, roadmaps and applications
  • Understand, refine and implement usability features and graphic look
  • Understand, and drive improvements to, the mobile experience of the Jostle platform on all mobile devices
  • Propose and advocate for design changes that will make the product more robust

Required:

  • Strong knowledge of Java, HTML, CSS and related dev tools
  • Experience developing mobile apps, ideally HTML5 based
  • At least 3 years hands-on relevant experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline

Desired:

  • Experience with GWT (Google Web Toolkit) would be an asset
  • You have built something cool and useful on mobile (iOS or Android)
  • Proven history delivering SaaS applications or web-deployed games
